Kanji(Chinese characters)

Chinese characters were originated in China. Then it was imported to Japan, and used by many Japanese people.
For that reason, the Sentence of ancient Japan was written only by the kanji.
Later in Japan, Hiragana and Katakana had been invented by ancient Japanese people, but Kanji is main component of Japanese sentence even now.

Each kanji has a meaning.
For example, "Bi" means "beauty", "Sei" means "success".
*Bi = 美, Sei = 成
If you would like to have a kanji tattooed or goods of kanji, you should examine the meaning of it.

By the way, I'm dealing with such products.

[Japanese anime]Bakemonogatari

The best favorite anime for me  is "Bakemonogatari" recently. In this anime, various supernatural creatures and ghosts appear.

In Japan, a supernatural existence like a ghost was believed from ancient times.
For that reason, many comics and anime take up such existences.
This anime is particularly interesting in those animes.

In this anime, you would see the skillful exchange of words.
It may be difficult for beginner of Japanese language study to understand it.
However, it would be one big step for a Japanese language learner to understand it.

If you would like to see this anime, you may search a word of "Bakemonogari" at video-sharing web sites.

Tokugawa Ieyasu

Tokugawa Ieyasu was a SAMURAI who established the Edo Shogunate.
He lived away from  home, as a hostage when he was a child.
Even after he became independent, he had a lot of difficulties, because he came under the rule of Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

However, he endured the hard time and achieved Japan's unification at last.
He established the Edo Shogunate and yielded his son the Shougun's post.
The Edo Shogunate governed Japan for 300 years.

Moreover, Tokugawa Ieyasu is known also that he preferred to take self-prepared medicine.
Although we are not sure that it was the reason, he lived long very much for the samurai in those days.

Ramen noodles

Japanese people like ramen noodles very much.
Regardless of young and old of both sexes, there are many opportunities to eat ramen noodles and many ramen-noodles stores are located in Japan.
Although ramen noodles were the food produced in China, ever since it transmitted to Japan in hundreds of years ago, an original change has been achieved.
Besides the ramen noodles of an orthodox soy sauce base, there are various soup of ramen noodles, such as salt,  white pork broth and  bean paste.

If you visit Japan, you would be surprised at the number of ramen-noodles stores.

Japanese Christmas

Almost all Japanese like Christmas.
They mainly regard Christmas Eve as the most important, and pass the day with those who love such as a family and a sweetheart.

However, the event doesn't almost have a religious meaning.
Although most is a Buddhist, they eat a chicken and a cake at Christmas and exchange presents.
Thus, in Japan, only the form of an overseas event is adopted in many cases.
St Valentine's Day is also mentioned to one of examples.

Japanese-style toilets existed in Japan since ancient.
When you use these, it's necessary for you to stoop down in the toilet.
Although it had spread through ordinary homes widely, there are many people using a Western-style toilets,so the number of Japanese-style toilets is becoming fewer recently.
